Is Marijuana legal?

While recreational use of Marijuana is illegal, Medical Cannabis (Medical Marijuana) is recognized as a legal medicine in California under Proposition 215 also known as the Compassionate Use of Act 1996. All patients must have a valid medical cannabis recommendation from a licensed physician before using the medicine.

Do you have a store location?

Currently we are a delivery service only. We follow all compliance with Proposition 215 and Senate 420. We deliver to many locations, please give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

What are the uses of cannabis?

Cannabis has a long history of medicinal use, with evidence dating back to 2,000 B.C.E. These uses can improve the quality of life for those who suffer from chronic pains, critical illness and even the terminally ill. Although there are many different strains and cross strains available, each has its own effects. Marijuana comes in two basic types - sativa and indica.

Sativas are often characterized as uplifting and energetic. The effects are mostly cerebral. They give a feeling of optimism, well-being and provides pain relief for many symptoms. A few pure sativas are also very high in THC content. Many patients prefer a sativa during the daytime.

Indicas are great for relaxation, stress relief along with an overall sense of calm and serenity. Marijuana indicas are also very effective for overall body pain relief and often used in the treatment of insomnia. Many patients prefer an indica during the evening or night.

Cross strains also known as hybrids which are sativas and indicas mixed in different percentages. It will some time and experimentation to find the most effective balance for each individual.

How do I place an order for delivery?

We keep it safe and simple. First you will need to have a valid doctor's recommendation along with a valid government identification card. Then fill out our online membership form or call us and place your order (we can also get you verified over the phone if you cannot upload your rec and gov ID ). Upon delivery, the driver will need to see your driver's license (or valid ID card) and doctor's recommendation. You will also need to sign a membership form if you have not completed our online form (for first time members only). Your order will be exchanged for a donation. Our friendly drivers are very professional and discreet. They will not be dressed or drive a vehicle with any logos or advertisement of Marijuana. Please keep in mind that our drivers do not carry any money or change with them during the delivery. In the near future we will be accepting credit cards but currently we are accepting cash for donations.

Schedule a Delivery
• You must confirm your delivery appointment by phone. Unconfirmed deliveries may be delayed. After confirming the appointment, the patient must be available at the specified address during the 1 hour appointment time..
• Multiple missed deliveries and/or making the driver wait will result in termination of delivery service privileges..
• If you will be unavailable for a scheduled delivery, inform us by phone and your order will deliver on the next available day. Please call us at (559) 439-4100.

 

Safety Guidelines
• Abuse of the service or our staff will result in denial of service..
• Driver carries no product other than your order
• Order must be final when you click 'submit'..
• We will only deliver in daylight hours..
• Driver vehicles have security cameras and are tracked via GPS through security headquarters..
• Drivers retain the right to refuse service to anyone..
• Maximum order is 2oz./flowers or 16 concentrates or 20 edibles, or an equal combination of those items/quantities. Maximum 5 pre-rolls per order..
• We will only deliver to a residence, your work or hotel where you are checked in. Addresses and contact numbers will be verified..
• Our drivers will not be in uniform or in a marked car. Drivers are randomly and anonymously followed by our trained safety personnel to ensure best practices..
• Deliveries are packaged in discreet paper bags..
• Please restrain dogs and other animals. We do not know your pets and it is easier for all of us if they are restrained during the visit.

 

Missed Deliveries and Restocking Fee
On the specified day of your delivery, if you are UNABLE to be at the delivery location at the time of your delivery, please inform us by phone, and your delivery will be pushed to the next available delivery day.  If you are not available for delivery and do not notify us, you MAY be charged a $20 restocking fee. This counts as a "missed delivery." Multiple missed deliveries and/or making the driver wait will result in termination of delivery service privileges.

How can I find out what you have? Do you have a menu?
We currently feature an online menu at Order.FortySecondFloor.net.  Our menu displays item in real time, so should be accurate at all times. If we don't have something specific that you are looking for, we will probably have something you will like.

How do I get a California Medical Cannabis Recommendation?
Medical Marijuana Recommendations are issued by state certified physicians that determine if your would benefit from the use of cannabis.  Any physician has the capability to make this recommendation, but there are various doctors throughout the area that specialize in this field. Do I need to sign anything?

Forty Second Floor  is a collective of patients. In order to use our services, you must register as a member of our collective, which involves signing an agreement stating your intention to relate with Forty Second Floor as such. This in no way limits your ability to cultivate your own medicine, infringes upon your legal limits, or prevents you from joining another collective. The agreement simply states your intention to be an active member of the collective.

What do I need to become a member?

You need a valid California ID and proof of your status as a medical cannabis patient. If you bring a medical ID card issued by the California Medical Cannabis Patient ID Center CMCP, or the state of California, we will honor it on the spot. If you only have a doctor's recommendation, we simply need to call and verify it through your doctor's office. So, if you only have a doctor's recommendation, please try to visit Forty Second Floor during your doctor's regular business hours so that we may contact them.

Can I get pre-verified?

We might be able to verify you ahead of time if your doctor does not require that we fax your recommendation to them. Simply fill out the online form, or you can call and we will walk you through the process. If you have a California Medical Cannabis Patient ID Center CMCP card, or a state-issued medical ID card, then you will not need to be verified at all.

Can I use a State ID card?

Yes. We also recognize the State ID card, which is also issued by the CMCP (see question above). The State ID is sponsored by the state of California, costs twice as much as the CMCP ID, and takes longer to obtain. Please note that the California Attorney General has also disclosed a willingness to share patient information collected by the State ID card program with the federal government. The CMCP card, by contrast, is cheaper and your information will not be shared by anyone without a subpoena or your express permission. Both cards are issued at the same place – the CMCP.
